NDOFitness is a private basketball gym that seeks to provide a space for athletes at all levels to work on their craft. We offer customized training programs, clinics, camps and birthday parties. Our team of dedicated coaches are passionate about providing a high-quality basketball experience that fosters teamwork, discipline, and dedication. Co-founder & Head Coach
Chaz Samuel
Chaz, originally from Antigua, moved to Halifax in 2018. With a deep love for basketball, Chaz played at Tyler Junior College in Texas and represented Antigua’s national basketball team. Now, he’s focused on giving back to the community by helping the next generation of athletes reach their full potential. In 2019, Chaz co-founded No Days Off Apparel Inc., a brand designed to motivate and inspire through clothing. In 2024, he expanded his vision by opening No Days Off Fitness Inc.—the first and only private basketball facility in Nova Scotia. NDOFitness is dedicated to providing high-quality training, clinics, and camps that emphasize teamwork, discipline, and personal growth, offering a safe and inclusive space for young athletes to thrive. Through his growing social media presence, Chaz is showcasing the talent in Nova Scotia and using his platform to inspire and uplift local athletes, making it his mission to support and give back to the basketball community every step of the way.

Shayna Cort-Samuel
Always focused on making a difference, Shayna is dedicated to building a brand that creates lasting value for the community. As the backbone of the business, she handles all the behind-the-scenes operations and videos all the social media content. Her dedication, organizational skills, and attention to detail lay the foundation for NDOFitness allowing the team to focus on uplifting and empowering athletes. Shayna’s unwavering commitment and strong work ethic are integral to ensuring a positive client experience.

Trainer
Tyler Scott
A former collegiate and professional basketball player, Tyler is passionate about giving back to the community by sharing the skills, insights, and lessons he’s learned throughout his career. He played high school basketball at Halifax West High School and was selected to participate in the All Canada Classic. He began his university athletic career at Acadia University for two years before transferring to the University of Prince Edward Island where he played for additional 3 years. In his senior year he made the top 5 all time AUS scoring list and was drafted into the National Basketball League of Canada (NBLC) by the Island Storm and later played with the Halifax Hurricanes. He is currently a player for Nova Scotia’s professional basketball team, The Halifax Hoopers. With a deep understanding of the game, he aims to inspire and mentor the next generation of players, helping them develop not only on the court but also as individuals.

Trainer
Jenna Bain
Jenna played 3 years of basketball at Charles P. Allen High School and then went on to play 5 years at the University of King’s College. Throughout her college career she was named an ACAA All Conference Player 3 times as well as a CCAA Allstar at Nationals in her final year after helping lead her team to win the championship for the first time in 24 years. For Jenna, basketball is more than just a sport—it's a powerful tool for growth and empowerment. She is deeply committed to sharing her love for the game while inspiring young athletes to unlock their full potential, on and off the court.
